Our Classes

We offer classes for every level, and each class is capped at 25 people so everyone can get the individual attention they need. All classes are first-come, first-served, so please show up 10-15 minutes early.

 

basic yoga

Good for beginners. Interested in yoga, but unsure where to start? All levels are welcome; but this class is especially appropriate for beginners.

In this class, you will explore some of the basic postures and breathing techniques that make up the practice of yoga. Students will learn about the basics of proper alignment and technique. Emphasis will be placed on core strength, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration and breath control. This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.

No yoga experience necessary, simply bring a willingness to move and play.

ashtanga modified

Suitable for all levels. This one-hour Vinyasa class is a modified version of the Ashtanga series. For students that are new to Ashtanga, this is a great class to familiarize yourself with the consistent series of Ashtanga postures. We cover the fundamentals, including breath, movement, and postural form. Precise and methodical instruction is given to allow for a deeper understanding of alignment and breath. Sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses and beginning backbends are introduced.

vinyasa flow

Suitable for all levels. Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic system of practicing asanas (poses). Yoga postures flow in a logical sequence. Each position complements those that precede and follow. This practice focuses on the synchronization of breath & the continuous flow of movement. Vinyasa is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. This class can be strenuous; may be appropriate for beginners.

hatha yoga

Suitable for all levels. In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

booty barre

Suitable for all levels. Boootybarre is a fun, energetic, workout that fuses techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body.

Duration: 60 min

mellow moves

Good for beginners.  This class will flow slowly through sun salutations and postures designed to build internal heat slowly and gently.  Meditation and Pranaymana (breath work) techniques are taught to promote relaxation.  Class concludes with Restorative Yoga postures which settle the body and mind.

This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga.
